Activities and Things to do in Porthgain & North Pembrokeshire
Porth Gain abounds in local history being an old brick-working village. The remains of old workings and small gauge tram way can be seen from the coast path which gives access to secluded beaches and stunning walks.
To the east along the coast path through glorious coastal scenery you pass Trefin and reach the tiny inlet of Abercastle. To the west through more spectacular scenery you come to the National Trust beach at Traethllyfn and then to the Blue Lagoon and Aberiddy.
North Pembrokeshire enjoys dramatic scenery often described as a land of magic and enchantment with its combination of wildlife rugged coastline secluded beaches the open hilltops of the Preseli Mountains and the tranquil woodlands of the beautiful Gwaun Valley. It also boasts the renowned surfing beaches at Whitesands and Newgale.
